I wish I would have taken before and after photos of this latest project. I'm new to this so don't give up on my just yet!
I recently framed a set of "Old Maid" Muppet playing cards that I received when I was 3 or 4; the cards were part of a Valentine's Day card that my mom had to cut apart so we could play the game. I remember my brother and I playing with these and was always so fond of them I wanted to do something to display them. I had thought the card was from my mom all these years but just learned it was from an uncle.
For this project I bought a large piece of red cardstock. Sweetems is the old maid so I arranged him in the middle. After that is was just a lot of careful measuring and gluing.
I found the frame at Good Will; it's hard to find frames that have a lot of character at Target, Kohl's, etc. It was a bargain at $1.00. I spray painted it white and finally, years later it's finished. Luckily my fiancee loves the Muppets just as much as I do so now I need to hang it. I should say Scott needs to hang it; he has a better eye for that.
